As humans, whether we want it or not, we bring our emotions at work. 

Department changes, budget cut offs, disappointments, tensions with some colleagues, intense work pressure can trigger a variety of negative emotions, such as anxiety, anger or demotivation. 

 

Therefore, it's key for our own sake and for the sake of the people we lead that we learn to manage those challenging emotions. 

 

This way, we learn to deal with problems before they overwhelm us, we perform better, and we improve our relationships. It's part of self-management and being a great leader, but it can also pay off in our personal life.
