East Asian Days 2022

This year’s East Asian Days, themed “Rethinking Security in Asia - Towards a Sustainable Future”, will take place from Monday 28 March to Friday 1 April 2022. Co-hosted by Sciences Po Club Chine, Society for East Asian Affairs and Ramen-Toi, the week-long event aims to further your understanding about economic, political, societal trends in East Asia through a series of academic conferences, cultural workshops and networking events.

The theme covers traditional and non-traditional security issues with a plethora of events:

About us:

East Asian Days

Organised by three student-run organisations from Sciences Po (Sciences Po China Club, Ramen-toi, and Society for East Asian Affairs), the East Asian Days are a series of conferences and workshops that aim to promote Asian cultures and societies. Specifically, this year we promote the theme ‘Rethinking Security in East Asia: Towards a Sustainable Future’. The East Asian Days 2022 Edition will take place from 28 March to 1 April in a hybrid format and we invite students, alumni, professionals and all those interested to join us.

Sciences Po China Club is a student organisation aiming at fostering a better understanding of China and encouraging international communication. For more information, please visit our Facebook page and WeChat page (巴政学生学者俱乐部).

Ramen-toi is a student organisation promoting Korean and Japanese cultures through various events taking place throughout the year. They include, amongst others, conferences, language exchanges and café-debates. Please find more information on our Facebook page and our blog.

Society for East Asian Affairs (SEAA) is an organisation founded by like-minded Sciences Po students and alumni. Its mission is to promote the understanding of East Asian countries and to foster dialogues among members of the Sciences Po community regarding East Asia.
